Same task. Different internal load.

Because the “TASK” on it’s own does not determine the internal tissue loading. How we move, control our joints and use our muscles shapes the internal tissue loading, and influences the tissue response.

Same external exposure → different tissue loading mechanisms → different internal tissue loading → different tissue response.

Rehabilitation should be targeted towards the dominant mechanism(s). Tissue loading mechanisms represent a key rehabilitation target especially when the dominant pain mechanism is nociceptive.
